A lot of ’90s kids grew up watching Charmed, the series following the Halliwell sisters, the most powerful good witches who use the Power of Three to fight demons and warlocks. In eight seasons from 1998 to 2006, sisters Prue, Piper, and Phoebe (and later Paige) captivated the world, becoming the second-longest drama broadcast by the network The WB and the second-longest running hour-long television series featuring all female leads. Up to now, Charmed is the second-most watched television series on subscription video-on-demand services like Amazon Video and Netflix.
Because of the show’s success, many are wondering: could there be a reboot?
Star Alyssa Milano confirmed the news on Twitter through a series of tweets. However, she clarified that the original cast will not be there since CBS owns the show’s rights.
#Charmed fans! Nothing has been confirmed. CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That’s all I know for sure.

With all the reunion shows it seems like #charmed would be a great choice since we have the most loyal and best fans ever. But… (Cont.)

I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights.

Charmed stars Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowan.
Milano first mentioned a reunion in 2013 when she tweeted her co-stars, “I would definitely do a #charmed movie. Would you, @H_Combs@rosemcgowan and @DohertyShannen?”
Doherty responded, “Yep, I would. Enough was left undone to address and make a good movie.”
