If you’re addicted to selfies, beware: a swan in Macedonia died after a tourist grabbed it for a selfie.
According to reports, a Bulgarian woman grabbed a swan from Lake Ohrid, dragged it to the shoreline, then posed with it. Witnesses said that the swan looked visibly distressed, but the woman kept smiling for the camera.
She later abandoned it, and the swan died on the shoreline.
The incident is similar to one in Argentina, where a baby La Plata dolphin was passed around by tourists so they could take a selfie with it. It was suspected to have died of dehydration when it was left on the sand.
