The national elections are only four weeks away and the candidates are becoming more creative in promoting themselves and putting their competition down. Some have resorted to namecalling while others have initiated fistfights. Indeed, it’s a very colorful election.
Current vice president Jejomar Binay went the social media route, choosing to upload a video on Facebook saying that we shouldn’t vote for Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. In the two minute long video, he says:
Hi, magandang umaga po sa inyong lahat. Napapanahon po tayo ngayon na harapin na ito ay moral responsibility natin, sa ating pagkatao, at ating kausapin ang ating mga kababayan na huwag iboto, hindi dapat maging pangulo ang isang tulad ni Mr. Duterte.
Bakit? Kasi tuloy tuloy ho ang pagyayabang at pagsasabi ni Mr. Duterte na pag siya ay naging pangulo, ipagpapatuloy niya ang pagpatay sa mga napagbibintangan niyang may ginawang kasalanan na paglabag sa batas at ang napapatay niya bata, magkakapatid na apat at y’un po ay mga bagay bagay na hindi niya itinatanggi.
(Hi, good morning to you all. It is time for us to face our moral responsibility and talk to our countrymen and tell them not to vote someone like Mr. Duterte.
Why? Because he continues to be arrogant, and says that he if he becomes president, he will continue killing those he accused of committing a crime. He kills children, four siblings, and these are things that he doesn’t deny.)
