The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) posted on its Facebook page photos that show “zombies” making a statement to remind the public of the hazards of smoking.
They captioned the album with:
In line with the celebration of the World No Tobacco Day today, MMDA environmental enforcers, led by Dir. Loida Alzona, dressed up as zombies to remind the public about the deaths and diseases caused by smoking.
Dubbed as the “Smoking Dead”, these environmental enforcers and sweepers were deployed along EDSA and various MRT stations carrying placards and wearing shirts with photos of tobacco-related diseases to raise public awareness on the implementation of the Graphic Health Warnings law. #GHWNow #WNTD2016 #GHWFullBlastNa#TheSmokingDead
