Sounds like a few politicians we know, eh?
A Pakistani lawmaker has proposed banning 24-hour cartoon channels, specifically Doraemon, saying that these channels could have a negative influence on children.
Malik Taimur submitted a resolution that read:
“…that it[the federal government]close down cartoon channels, specifically Doraemon, or only run them for limited time periods”.
“Children’s education and physical health is being affected by these 24-hour cartoon channels.”
A popular children’s cartoon character in Japan, Doraemon, a blue robot cat was even selected by Japan as its cartoon cultural ambassador in 2008.
